The Challenge
Cleaning up chamfered wire connections means selecting each wire by hand, working out new arc points along every segment, redrawing the wire, and deleting the original — one at a time. On an electrical model with hundreds of conduit and cable runs, that repetition adds up fast, and a single mistyped radius or a connector that won't reconnect can leave a wire broken or missing entirely.
Our Solution
AutoWiring scans the active view — or just the wires you pick — finds every chamfered connection, and rebuilds it as a smooth arc using the radius and wire type you set. If a radius doesn't produce a valid arc, it nudges the value up automatically and tries again, so runs finish without manual trial and error. Anything it can't fix is logged for a quick second look, and every run is recorded for project tracking.
Automatic View-Wide Conversion
Scans the entire active view in one pass and converts every chamfered wire into a smooth arc — no manual selection needed.
Selective Wire Adjustment
Pick individual wires straight from the model when only a handful of connections need fixing, instead of reprocessing the whole view.
Self-Correcting Geometry
If a requested radius can't produce a valid arc, AutoWiring increases it automatically in small steps until the new wire is created.
Failed Element Review
Wires that can't be converted are collected into a report window — select any entry to highlight that wire back in the model instantly.
